About the Group
Living with ADHD as an adult often means more than challenges with focus or organization. Many people experience ongoing stress, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, or relationship strain; especially in high-demand environments.
This in-person therapy group offers a structured, supportive space to explore how ADHD shows up in daily life, emotions, and relationships, alongside others with similar experiences. The group is facilitated by a licensed clinician and focuses on building awareness, flexibility, and more sustainable ways of relating to oneself and others.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a therapy group or a support group?
This is a psychotherapy group led by a licensed clinician. While the group is supportive, it is a clinical therapy group rather than a peer-led support or discussion group.
Who is this group for?
This group is for adults who identify with ADHD traits or have been diagnosed with ADHD and are experiencing emotional, relational, or life-management challenges related to ADHD at work, at home, or in relationships.

Do I need a formal diagnosis to join?
A formal diagnosis is not required to participate. During the screening process, we’ll explore whether the group is a good clinical fit based on your experiences and needs.

Is this a skills or productivity group?
No. This group is not focused on productivity, time management, or performance optimization.
The focus is on emotional regulation, self-understanding, and relational patterns associated with ADHD, rather than tools or strategies alone.

Will this group help with emotional regulation and relationships?
Yes. Many participants find the group helpful for working with emotional reactivity, frustration, shame, and relationship dynamics that are commonly impacted by ADHD.

Is this group appropriate if I’m already in individual therapy?
In many cases, yes. Group therapy can complement individual therapy by offering shared perspective, relational feedback, and opportunities to work with patterns as they arise in connection with others. This can be discussed during screening.
Is this group in person or online?
This group meets in person at our Sunnyvale office. At this time, the group is not offered in a virtual or hybrid format.
What is the time commitment?
The group meets weekly on weekday evenings. Consistent attendance is encouraged to support group continuity and therapeutic progress.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Insurance is accepted, and eligibility is reviewed prior to joining. PPO and in-network plans may be eligible. Insurance benefits are reviewed before scheduling a consultation.
What if my insurance cannot be used?
When insurance cannot be applied to group therapy, limited sliding scale options may be considered based on availability.
