Group Therapy
Experiential group therapy for real-life change supported, structured, and clinicially led
At Roiya, group therapy is not an add-on.
It is a core way we help people build emotional strength, healthier relationships, and sustainable growth.
What is Group Therapy?
Unlike individual therapy, a group gives you a live relational environment; where patterns show up naturally, and change becomes something you can practice with support, not just talk about.
In a well-facilitated group, you can:
-
Learn skills and apply them in the moment
-
Receive feedback with care and boundaries
-
Feel less alone in what you’re carrying
-
Build steadier emotional and relational habits over time

Why Group Therapy at Roiya
Many people seek therapy because they already understand what’s happening; but insight alone hasn’t led to change.
In our groups, insight becomes practice; through guided exercises, real-time interaction, and supportive reflection.
Group therapy can be especially powerful when:
-
Your patterns show up most in relationships
-
Your emotions escalate quickly or shut down
-
You want more than coping; you want new capacity
With clinical guidance and a clear structure, the group becomes a place to practice: slowing down, repairing ruptures, and building flexibility.
A Core Part of Roiya
Group therapy reflects what we believe deeply at Roiya.
Healing happens in relationship, and change becomes possible when experience, not just understanding, has room to move
What Makes Roiya Groups Difference
Structured, not uncontained
Clear arc, clear agreements, and thoughtful pacing.
Practical, not just insightful
You leave with takeaways you can apply between sessions.
Experiential, not performative
We use gentle, guided exercises to support learning—not to put anyone on the spot.
Clinically led, not peer-run
Groups are facilitated by trained professionals, with clinical oversight.
Trauma-responsive and culturally attuned
Safety, choice, and respect for identity and background are central.

Our Clinical Approach
-
Roiya groups are evidence-informed, trauma-responsive, and relational by design.
-
-
They are led by trained mental health clinicians and guided with clear agreements and pacing.
-
-
Depending on the group, sessions may include:
-
Skills practice (emotion regulation, communication, boundaries, coping tools)
-
Relational learning (noticing how patterns form—and how they shift)
-
Trauma-responsive support (safety, choice, pacing, and nervous-system awareness)
-
Experiential exercises (guided, structured activities that help turn insight into action)
-
-
We keep the work grounded and respectful.
-
You will never be pressured to share more than you’re ready for, and every exercise is optional and clinically guided.
Who Group Therapy Is For
Group therapy may be a strong fit if you:
-
Want change you can practice, not just understand
-
Learn well in a supportive, structured environment
-
Feel stuck repeating familiar patterns
-
Want both skills and deeper relational insight
-
Prefer growth that happens with community and accountability
No prior group experience is required. We’ll help you assess fit in a brief screening.
