Professional Standards
Our Commitment to Safe, Ethical, and Effective Care
At Roiya Center for Experiential Healing, professional standards are the foundation of everything we do.
Our counseling and experiential services are designed to support growth while prioritizing safety, ethics, and clinical responsibility.
We operate within established regulatory frameworks and evidence-informed practices to ensure that every individual and group experience is held with care, clarity, and accountability.
Clinical Structure & Oversight
Roiya is led by licensed clinicians and supported by associate clinicians practicing under appropriate clinical supervision in accordance with California regulations.
Our clinical structure includes:
-
Licensed mental health professionals practicing within their scope of licensure
-
Associate clinicians receiving ongoing supervision
-
Clear distinctions between clinical therapy and non-clinical experiential programming
This structure allows us to provide care that is both relationally grounded and professionally sound.
Training & Methodology
All clinicians and facilitators at Roiya are trained in experiential, role-based, and trauma-responsive approaches that emphasize learning through action, reflection, and integration.
Our work is informed by:
-
The ROI (Role-Oriented Integrated) framework
-
Experiential and somatic learning principles
-
Group facilitation and relational dynamics
-
Trauma-responsive and consent-based practice
These methods support change that is not only insightful, but embodied and sustainable over time.
Ethics, Confidentiality, and Boundaries
We uphold professional ethics and legal responsibilities across all services.
This includes:
-
Adherence to California licensure and regulatory standards
-
Informed consent for all clinical services
-
Clear confidentiality practices and privacy protections
-
Transparent boundaries between counseling, workshops, and community-based offerings
Our Mental Gym programs, labs, and community experiences are designed for learning and growth and are not a substitute for psychotherapy unless explicitly stated.
Our Clinicians & Facilitators
Roiya’s current clinical and facilitation team includes licensed and associate clinicians with experience in individual therapy, group work, and experiential facilitation.
Each clinician brings their own professional training and areas of focus while working within shared standards of care, supervision, and ethical practice.
As a growing center, our team will continue to expand in clinical expertise and representation as Roiya evolves.
A Living Standard
Professional standards at Roiya are not static.
They evolve through ongoing training, supervision, reflection, and feedback.
As our community grows, we remain committed to care that is:
-
Grounded in professional responsibility
-
Responsive to lived experience
-
Designed for long-term wellbeing
